OF WHAT VALUE ARE THE FOLLOW-UP LETTERS I
RECEIVE FROM NBR AFTER EACH VISIT?
Follow-up letters are probably of more use to NBR than
anyone. From these we can get an idea of the success of the visit.
It is a way for families to communicate areas of trouble that NBR
can spend time on with an individual resident. The cooperation of
the family is appreciated. Remember, the ultimate goal for each
resident is that he leaves NBR with skills that will help him be
successful in the home, school and community. Honest assessments
during a home visit provide insight for the resident, his family,
the placement agency and NBR staff on how successful he is in using
those skills.
